ABOUT US

Our highly-qualified coaches are dedicated to you and each and every class they lead. We understand your goals - we've been there and we've coached members through every imaginable fitness goal. From the smallest (but not always the easiest) to the to the seemingly impossible, we're here to help and guide you though them all. 

  • Michael White

    Head Coach/Owner

    Michael holds numerous certifications and a BA in Sports Medicine from Pepperdine University. An ever-growing, broad knowledge base and formal education, as well as personal experience is how Michael knows CrossFit is an efficient and effective program that works for anybody. And while it tests the most elite athletes, he also knows that it benefits those with no athletic background and even those with limited mobility and other health conditions.

    MIchael appreciates seeing athletes become better with each training session but he truly loves helping the everyday person living within modern constrains regain their true self in fitness and health.

  • Jon Hamlin

    Coach

    Jon is a 15+ year veteran of the Tulare Police Department and a member of the Tulare SWAT team. Jon started CrossFit when he became dissatisfied with his level of fitness as someone whose career, life and the lives of those he served depend on his ability to perform mentally and physically. When Jon got the results he needed, and more, he committed to helping others achieve the same results.

  • Fred Chun

    Coach

    A dentist by day, a coach by night, and a father and husband always, Fred is driven to help CrossFit Tulare’s athletes to break through personal barriers in their path to fulfilling their potential.

    Fred obtained his CrossFit L-1 certification in 2013 a few years after starting out on his own CrossFit journey in order to help and encourage friends and family utilize CrossFit as their primary fitness regimen. Today, especially enjoys building in his athletes a solid foundation in Olympic weightlifting and gymnastics.

  • Curtis Colvin

    Coach

    A lifelong athlete, Curtis has played numerous sports from high school, through college, onto 3 years of professional level baseball. He is now a high school Physical Education teacher as well as a personal trainer and CrossFit L-1 coach.

    To Curtis the members of CrossFit Tulare are not just members or athletes; he considers them his CrossFit family.

  • Chris Adams

    Coach

    Chris is a Staff Sergeant in the US Army who is passionate about spreading his love of fitness.

    He believes that community and a solid support system is what makes a fitness program truly effective. What he appreciates most about the CrossFit Tulare community is that the last person to finish the Workout of the Day (WOD) is the one who receives the loudest cheers.
